Emmanuella Doussis is Professor of International Institutions at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She lectures on International Organisation, International Law, Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes, International Environmental Law and Climate Change Policy and Diplomacy. She has been a visiting professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Université de Bourgogne and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Grenoble. She has also been a visiting fellow at the European University Institute in Florence (Global Governance Programme) and at the University of Geneva.

She is the Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Climate Diplomacy. She is also a member of several academic associations, as well as a Member of the ILA Committee on the Role of International Law in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources, the Greek National Committee on Adaptation to Climate Change and the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law. Her work has been published to numerous foreign and Greek collective books and academic journals, such as Revue Générale de droit internationall public, Annuaire de droit de la mer, Year book of International Environmental Law, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies. She is a currently a Fullbright Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
