MAPPING THE SDGS IMPLEMENTATION IN GREECE

The Hellenic Forum for Sustainable Development (ELFOVA), a joint initiative of the ELIAMEP and FOGGS, collaborated with the Institute of European Integration and Policy, under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair in Climate Diplomacy, to map the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Greece.

The Institute coordinated the internship programme of undergraduate students contributing to the research on the different SDGs under concern. The research focused on four SDGs, namely the 7th (Affordable and Clean Energy), the 8th (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the 13th (Climate Action) and the 16th (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). The goal was to release policy papers that would describe the situation in Greece and propose policy solutions for the better implementation of each SDG. The Institute's team consisted of Prof. Emmanuella Doussis (academic supervisor), George Dikaios, Othon Kaminiaris and 10 undegraduate students (interns) of Politics and Economics. Research period: 1 November 2019 to 30 April 2020.
