Lydia Avrami is a Researcher at the Institute of European Integration and Policy and a Research Fellow at the National Centre for Social Research (EKKE) and at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). She participates in research and educational projects. Since 2018, she is adjunct lecturer of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration (PSPA) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and she co-lectures the course “Environmental Governance” of the Postgraduate Programme “International and European Studies”, in collaboration with Assc. Prof. Emm. Doussis.
In 2019 she completed her postdoctoral research, titled “Social dimensions of climate change policy in times of crisis”, which was funded by the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) and conducted at the Dept. of PSPA NKUA). She was awarded with distinction her Ph.D. in European climate change policy from the NKUA (2015) and she was Scholar of the A.G. Leventis Foundation (2011-2014). She was Visiting Researcher at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany (2014) with a short-term research fellowship of the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKY).
